Prandelli set for FIGC talks

Prandelli set for FIGC talks
Cesare Prandelli's future will be discussed once Italy have secured their place at the FIFA World Cup, the country's FA chief has said.
Italian Football Federation (FIGC) chief Giancarlo Abete has said that Azzurri boss Cesare Prandelli is set for talks over his future once qualification for the World Cup is sealed.

The former Fiorentina coach has been rumoured to be set to leave his role once his contract expires following next summer's tournament.

However, Abete has insisted he is eager to keep Prandelli in his current job going forward.

"Once the qualification is achieved we'll discuss the future. Then we'll try to understand what's the best for both of us," he told reporters.

"From our side of course there's no problem (for him continue as manager of the national team).

"It depends on Prandelli if he chooses to go back to coaching every day, and the national team can't guarantee that, or if he confirms his commitment in this relationship which is very good for both of us."
