Anyansi calls for Enyimba focus after Federation Cup victory

Anyansi calls for Enyimba focus after Federation Cup victory
The Aba Millionaires chairman has demanded from his players more concentration ahead of the remaining matches of the league season
Enyimba chairman Felix Anyansi Agwu has asked the Peoples Elephant not to get carried away with their victory in Saturday's Federation Cup final and thus forget their second target for the season.
The Aba Millionaires defeated Warri Wolves 5-4 on penalties after regulation time had ended 2-2 apiece.
Twice Wolves shot into the lead through Musa Najere and Joseph Osadaiye but Enyimba fought back gamely on both occasions and were rewarded with goals from Bright Esieme and Ugwu Uwadiegwu in the second half before they sealed their third triumph after penalties.
Anyansi Agwu in an interview with Goal said that with the realisation of the first part of the objective set for the season, attention immediately switches to the second target with a game at home to Wikki Tourists at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba on Wednesday.
"We can't continue to dwell on this victory for all day longer. We must be focused and concentrate on the next objective which is to lay our hands on the league trophy if possible,” Anyansi told Goal.
"We have a tough match on Wednesday against Wikki and it is just normal we shift our attention to that immediately. We are happy about our feat in the Federation Cup but we must not be distracted from our remaining set goals," he said.
