Uefa to hold draw to determine Fenerbahce's successors

Uefa to hold draw to determine Fenerbahce's successors
Those who are eliminated from the Europa League play-offs could yet make the group stages after Fenerbahce's ban from European football for two years is upheld
Uefa has concluded that those who lose their Europa League play-off ties on Thursday will be entered into a draw on Friday to see who progresses to the group stages following Fenerbahce's expulsion.

The Istanbul-based club have had their two-year ban from European competition for match-fixing upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) following an appeal to have it overturned.

Defeat to Arsenal in the preliminary stages of the Champions League has meant that the club would have entered the group stages of the Europa League.

But Uefa's Emergency Panel has now confirmed it will stage a draw on Friday to determine who replaces Ersun Yanal's men this season.

The draw is scheduled to take place at 09:00 CET.
